If you want to get off the beaten track, then this coastal cottage is perfect for you. Only accessible via a rough track, it's a secluded spot by the sea where you can switch off and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. The building dates back to the beginning of the eighteenth century, and blends its long history with modern comforts. You'll love the wooden beams and inglenook fireplace – on chilly evenings, you can light up the stove and get cosy. When the sun is shining, you can head outside to enjoy some alfresco drinks on the patio while the kids play on the lawn. And, you'll even have company – there is a family of friendly chickens who will happily provide you with eggs for your morning omelette. As the home is right on the beach, you'll love spending time beside the water, admiring the views and even paddling on warm days. Serious hikers and casual walkers alike will enjoy exploring the nearby coastal path and surrounding countryside. And, if you fancy a change of scene, you can drive over into The Mumbles to visit the pier and have a pint of local ale in one of the pubs.

About The Gower Peninsula

When it comes to Britain’s best beaches, the Gower takes some beating. Rhossilli’s mantlepiece must be sagging with all the gongs it's received over the years. And there are many more – equally lovely – sandy spots to while away your days or get your heart racing on this 19-mile long peninsula. This is a surfing hotspot, particularly the breaks at Llangennith and Langland, and a haven for family holidays....
